GKN ATS Luton can produce stretched acrylic in all thicknesses up to 28 mm and sheet sizes up to 3 m square. The surface standard achieved allows the material to be used for the most demanding of optical requirements such as military aircraft front windscreens and canopies, whilst being economical enough to be used for cabin windows and commercial windscreens. GKN ATS Luton stretched acrylic meets or exceeds all relevant airworthiness regulatory requirements world wide.
The company has invested heavily in state of the art machining, product inspection, test and handling equipment, enabling GKN ATS Luton to achieve high levels of repeatability in production processes.
